Please tell us about your organization and your volunteer needs.
We are a non-demonatonal nonprofit Soup Kitchen known as Cookstone Kitchen located in Wadsworth Ohio .The kitchen is open every Friday from 5:30 - 7:30 except for the last Friday of the month. We offer a free meal and a chance to build relationships with the community.

We use VolunteerSpot to communicate with our volunteers, using the calendar/message/invite/to create menus/volunteer opportunities and organizing.
What’s one piece of advice you have for volunteers or their leaders out there?
Communicating and Training to use the website.

To become better organized.
Anything else you’d like our readers to know about your organization or volunteering?
We are a Non-profit and Non-Demonational Christian organization building a positive community on the south side of Wadsworth,Ohio. We do not just serve soup. We have had taco nights, breakfast for dinner, grilled chicken, and for St Patricks Day we are having corn beef and cabbage. We also provide to-go meals.
We are continue to grow this ministry and this is our 3rd year. We are run by donations only. We set up the menus and ask for volunteers to sign up to help set up, serve, and clean up . The volunteers sign up to bring food in crock pots, side dishes, and desserts . We have had actually young children want to have their birthday parties with us.
