Kudos to Doris Moylan of the NW Kickers Soccer Club!
The NW Kickers Soccer Club, based in Brooklyn Park, offers three programs: Travel, Little Kickers, and Junior Kickers. In addition to soccer training for players ages 5-19, their traveling program provides extensive professional training. As an all-volunteer organization, they are able to provide a soccer program at a very low cost, but the training they offer is second to none in terms of quality and quantity. They are community focused, serving the youth in the Brooklyn Park area.
Today, our Volunteer Spotlight shines on Doris Moyan, U9-U12 Girls Director & Volunteer Coordinator for the NW Kickers Tournament, who uses VolunteerSpot's free online signup sheets to coordinate volunteers for the tournament.

Please tell us about your organization and your volunteer needs.
The NW Kickers Soccer Club may well be Minnesota's oldest soccer club. In 1955 the Kickers helped form a two-team men's soccer league in Minneapolis, and the rest is history. The Kickers later moved into Brooklyn Park, added youth soccer, and changed the name to the North West Kickers. Since that time, the Kickers have provided high quality, affordable, youth soccer to players in the NW suburbs of Minneapolis.
We recently had our annual soccer tournament this past May. Because our club is volunteer run, all parents are required to commit volunteer time to the club. During the tournament, we had 200 parents who fulfilled their volunteer obligation for the club! We had positions for field marshals, parking attendants, concession stand and runners, registration table, and miscellaneous volunteers for the tournament weekend.
Why did you use VolunteerSpot?
VolunteerSpot saved so much time and eliminated a lot of the hassles that go into organizing an event like this. Not having to send out reminders saved a huge amount of time! The last minute announcement notifications for cancellations also helped us stay ahead of the game and get those spots filled quickly. VolunteerSpot was very user-friendly! It was easy to set up the weekend events using the wizard, because it walked me through the entire process. Even when I made an error, I found the trouble shooting to be quick and easy and allowed me to fix what I needed and move on. I highly recommend VolunteerSpot.
How did you find out about VolunteerSpot?
One of the board members told us about VolunteerSpot. She explained how useful it had been in setting up volunteers for their school functions. I am so thankful that she told me about this resource. Thank you so much for helping to make the whole process that much easier and successful!!!
